Katharine Bierce first learned about yoga as a teenager and has been excited to deepen her practice since moving to the San Francisco bay area in 2013 after living the hustle and bustle of New York City.
Her vinyasa and hatha yoga classes are tailored for beginner and intermediate students. She also loves to share tips on how to integrate a “yoga stretch break” into a busy workday. Depending on student needs, Katharine tailors her classes to be more “chill” hatha yoga to unwind after a busy day or a more vigorous vinyasa class as needed. Her style includes blending elements of intention-setting, movement and breath to help students find more ease in the body and peace in the mind.
She has completed workshops on Yoga Anatomy with Innerstellar Yoga and Pilates, on Pranayama with the Niroga Institute, and on Yoga for Stress Relief at Sivananda Yoga Farm and Ashram.
Katharine teaches in-person classes at tech companies and co-working spaces in San Francisco and Berkeley and also offers online classes for individuals and companies with remotely based employees. She holds an RYT-200 certification and maintains a daily yoga and meditation practice.
